Current Opportunities with CALA
We have a number of exciting opportunities available for Family Play Practitioners working in and around Inverness, Nairn and Alness. As part of CALA’s Family Services team, you will use play as a powerful way to engage and support children and families, helping to strengthen relationships, build parental confidence, support children’s development and wellbeing, and reduce isolation. Working alongside our Family Play Leads and wider team, you will help deliver welcoming, inclusive community and targeted activities including Play and Learn, Rise and Shine, Pop-Up Play, family groups and holiday programmes, while building trusted relationships and helping families access the right support at the right time.
Work Pattern: 30 hours per week worked flexibly across 50 weeks (Fixed-term contract for one year, with the potential for extension subject to continued funding)

Qualifications and experience: We are looking for practitioners with relevant experience of working with children and families and a good understanding of how play supports children’s development, wellbeing and relationships. Work Pattern – 6 hours per week, term time only
Salary – £13.45 p/hr (Unqualified) / £13.74 p/hr (Qualified)

- Candidates must hold VQ Level III, HNC or equivalent childcare qualification. However, we also welcome applicants who are currently working towards or willing to undertake relevant qualifications within a 3 year period of your employment.
